When teeth are missing or badly damaged, crowns or bridges can be used to repair them. A crown is custom built to fit over the remaining portion of a damaged tooth. It goes right on top; this is why they are often called crowns or caps.
In contrast, a bridge is a full replacement for a missing tooth (or teeth). Bridges attach to the healthy teeth on each side of the missing tooth or teeth. Whether we use a crown or a bridge, you’ll find either to be a great replacement tooth that will look, feel, and function like the tooth it is replacing or repairing. We offer both metal-free and PFM (porcelain fused to metal) crowns and bridges on a case-by-case basis.
